![]() ![]() These are adults. Immatures are similar but have dusky facial freckling. This penguin has a southern circumpolar distribution with highest concentrations here in the Atlantic Subantarctic islands. Its diet is primarily Antarctic Krill which has exploded recently leading to significant penguin population increases.
